Each varsity project starts with your brief and goals, followed by shell and rib selection and the choice of fit block. We then run branding tests, build a PP sample for approval, confirm colorways and move into bulk production with inline QC checks before final packing and shipment.
Our usual minimum for varsity jackets is 100 pieces per color and style, with development samples typically ready in about 7–10 days once fabrics, fit and branding are confirmed. Pricing is based on body fabric weight, sleeve material, lining and quilting construction and the branding package, and we provide a cost and timeline matrix for each quantity tier.
We work with three core varsity blocks—Classic, Boxy and Oversized—so you can build multiple stories without redrafting each time. Each block is graded through standard size runs and tested for armhole mobility, rib recovery and overall shrinkage in wash cycles, then locked into a base size spec for future collections.
We develop chenille patches on stable felt with neat satin borders to avoid fraying, then mix chain stitch, flat embroidery, appliqué and DTF or heat transfers for chest letters, numbers, sleeve badges and back artwork. Private-label details such as neck labels, care labels and hangtags are coordinated with your brand colors and packing requirements.
We offer grainy PU sleeves for vegan and price-point programs, smooth coated sleeves for fashion capsules, and genuine cowhide for premium lines. Each option is specified for thickness and backing, then tested for cracking and color crocking against ribs and body fabrics so light colors stay clean and the handfeel is consistent.
Most varsity projects use lightweight woven taffeta or smooth polyester linings that slide easily over hoodies and knits, with quilting only where it is needed to control the fill. Fill weight is adjusted by climate, and we reinforce armholes, neck and placket so the lining stays attached and keeps its shape after repeated wear and washing.
For the body we mainly use wool-blend melton and brushed fleece, chosen for handfeel and weight at your price point. Striped rib is applied across collar, cuffs and hem, and we set snap or zip fronts, pocket shapes and lining details according to your brief so every trim supports the varsity look.
