Frequently Asked Questions
Tech Pack FAQs
Do I need a tech pack to start clothing development?
Not necessarily. A sketch, reference image or sample garment can be enough to start discussing your design. More detailed specifications are usually developed and confirmed before production.
What is the difference between a tech pack and a size spec sheet?
A size spec sheet records garment measurements. A tech pack is broader, combining measurements with technical drawings, fabric information, trims, construction notes and other instructions.
Can the same template be used for a hoodie and a jacket?
The basic structure can be similar, but the technical details differ. A lined jacket, for example, may require lining and hardware details that a simple hoodie does not.
Can VANRD help if my tech pack is incomplete?
Yes, you can send your existing files or design references for an initial discussion. Our team can review the information available and discuss what else is needed for sampling.
