How to find a custom windbreaker jacket manufacturer for wholesale orders?

Choosing a manufacturer for custom windbreaker jackets comes down to four checks: category experience, specification control, evidence, and commercial fit.
Category experience. A windbreaker becomes water-resistant with a DWR finish and waterproof only with a complete system: a coating or membrane, taped seams and a water-resistant zipper. Missing any one of the three means the garment is not waterproof, whatever the fabric mill calls it.
Specification control. A manufacturer should be able to describe the fabric, the weight reference and the construction items it will control: nylon woven shells for lightness and a clean surface and polyester woven shells for durability and color stability, with a DWR finish on the face fabric so rain beads and rolls off and a PU coating for moderate-cost water resistance, accepting lower breathability and a firmer hand. If those are vague before you order, they will be vague during production.
Evidence. Ask for a QC checklist, a measurement sheet with tolerances, the AQL standard they work to, and a clear statement of what is produced in-house versus subcontracted. A supplier that answers yes to everything has not read your brief.
Commercial fit. Minimum order is 100 pieces per color per style, sampling runs 7–10 days, bulk production 30–45 days, and indicative FOB pricing for windbreaker jackets sits in the $12–30 range — shell choice, coating or membrane, and hardware drive the number.
