What customization options are available for denim pants production?

Custom denim pants are built from four decisions: fabric and weight, construction and trims, decoration, and the private label pack. Each one changes cost, lead time and how the finished piece reads.

Fabric. The options we run most are standard cotton denim for classic washes; stretch denim for comfort-driven fits; rigid denim for authentic fades and structure. For denim pants the practical weight reference is 12–13.5 oz is the most versatile range, with 10–11 oz reading sharper but giving up durability and heavier weights used for rugged programs. Ordering by weight figure alone is not enough — two fabrics can both be called the same weight and still behave differently in wash, drape and color retention, so composition and shrinkage are confirmed by wash testing.

Construction and trims. The build includes a waistband and fly built with bartacks at every stress point; riveted or bar-tacked pocket corners; hardware finished to match the wash level; a fit block specified by rise, thigh, leg opening and inseam separately.

Decoration. Available routes include leather patches, embroidery, printed branding, hardware branding, tonal stitching. Decoration is approved on the actual fabric rather than on a test swatch, because stretch, pile, coating and heat sensitivity all change the result.

Private label pack. Woven neck labels, size and care labels, logo tags, hangtags, barcoded polybags and printed cartons. A garment can leave the sewing line finished and still not be retail-ready, and this layer is what closes that gap.

A note specific to this category: Denim is the one category where the wash changes the fit. Fabric behaviour shifts after washing, so fit approval has to be based on the finished washed garment rather than the greige prototype — approving an unwashed fit and then washing in bulk is how sizing drift reaches customers.
