What customization options are available for custom hoodies production?

Custom hoodies are built from four decisions: fabric and weight, construction and trims, decoration, and the private label pack. Each one changes cost, lead time and how the finished piece reads.

Fabric. The options we run most are cotton-poly fleece for shape and color stability; French terry for a lighter body; heavyweight fleece for premium streetwear positioning. For hoodies the practical weight reference is 360–500 GSM for premium hoodies, with heavier weights producing the structured hand that streetwear positioning depends on. Ordering by weight figure alone is not enough — two fabrics can both be called the same weight and still behave differently in wash, drape and color retention, so composition and shrinkage are confirmed by wash testing.

Construction and trims. The build includes a pocket design bartacked at the stress points; rib cuffs and hem matched from one dye lot; a drawcord system specified by cord, tip and eyelet.

Decoration. Available routes include embroidery, screen and puff print, chenille patches, rhinestone work, washes. Decoration is approved on the actual fabric rather than on a test swatch, because stretch, pile, coating and heat sensitivity all change the result.

Private label pack. Woven neck labels, size and care labels, logo tags, hangtags, barcoded polybags and printed cartons. A garment can leave the sewing line finished and still not be retail-ready, and this layer is what closes that gap.

A note specific to this category: Hoodie development starts with positioning, not fabric. A $45 merch piece and a $150 premium streetwear piece need different fabrics, different construction and different decoration budgets — choosing the fabric before the positioning is how a program ends up over-specified or under-built.
