A new hoodie manufacturer can get very close to your approved fit and fabric if they receive complete production references. For hoodies and sweatshirts, the most important references include a physical approved sample, fleece or French terry swatch, GSM target, shrinkage data, rib standard, hood shape, drawcord, label placement, embroidery or print artwork, size chart, and measurement tolerance. Fit consistency depends on more than chest width and body length. Shoulder drop, sleeve length, cuff opening, hood volume, rib recovery, fabric shrinkage, and wash result all affect the final product. Before bulk production, the new manufacturer should make a fit sample and PP sample for approval, then control TOP sample and inline QC during production.
